Gaming reinvented

Last night was Wii night. We gathered with a bunch in front of Jason's big ass TV for a round of games. First we played Wii-sports followed bij WarioWare and Rayman Ravin Rabbids.

The Wii doesn't sport the computing power of the Playstation 3 nor the Xbox360, the graphics are rather simple. None of that degrades the gaming experience, the Wii's revolutionary and versatile interface drags anyone, take anyone literally, into it's games. To put it simple it captures motion, forcing the player to mimic real life moves to get around in a virtual world. If you serve in tennis, you throw your arm holding the controller in the air as if it was a racket, when you bowl you strike a pose you would only strike on a bowling alley. That's how real it gets, that's how grandparents get addicted and children neglected. I was warned by my collegues, and I can only confirm: even people adverse to gaming will surrender to the Wii's gameply. Way to go Nintendo!
